IF I COULD EXPLAIN WHAT I SEE, I WOULDn'T HAVE TO PHOTOGRAPH IT!
It is a fragile process to capture "Das Wesen der Dinge", always searching with a keen sense, I create images whose stories within are as deeply layered as the viewer is willing to go. My camera lets me get into situations and places where I probably wouldn't have got to without it.
For me, photography is first and foremost a traditional craft in which mastery of the shot is the decisive criterion. Since shortly before the turn of the millennium, I have been intensively involved with photography on a daily basis and initially dealt with the classic, analogue black-and-white technique.
In today's digital I orientate myself on exactly those principles that lead to pure, unprocessed images.
My focus is on fine art, portraits and visual storytelling.
